The operator of an ATM may charge you a fee for using their ATM. These fees are always posted directly on the ATM and can vary from machine to machine.

If you have a Comerica card, you have access to several surcharge-free ATM networks, including Comerica Bank, Charter One, Privileged Status, Alliance One, PNC Bank, and MoneyPass. To find an ATM near you, select from the list of networks above, search using the mobile app, or call customer service at 1-833-741-1115 .

When you withdraw cash at an ATM outside the Direct Express^® card surcharge-free ATM network, the ATM owner must provide a notice before you have to pay the fee. You will receive the notice at the ATM and then be given the choice of continuing or canceling the transaction. If you choose to continue, you will receive your cash and the fee will be deducted from your debit card account. If you choose to cancel the transaction, you will not receive your cash and you will not be charged any fees.

When using your card at an ATM, insert the debit card and enter your PIN. Choose the "checking" button on the ATM. Select "Cash Withdrawal." Enter the amount of cash needed and press "Enter." Don't forget to take your card and receipt.

If the ATM you are visiting is out of order, or if you are in an area with no in-network ATMs, there are other ways to use your Direct Express^® card to get cash for free. Many retail merchants that accept Debit Mastercard^® offer cash back with your purchase. You can also use any ATM in the Mastercard ATM Alliance network, although some locations may have surcharge fees. You will be informed of any fees before making a transaction and can cancel if you don't want to pay them.

When using an ATM, make sure you follow these safety best practices:

• Shield the keypad when entering your 4-digit PIN at the ATM
• Don't write your PIN on your card
• Always take your receipt with you at the end of your transaction

If you think your card or PIN have been lost or stolen, contact us immediately .With the Direct Express^® card, your money is FDIC-insured up to the maximum legal limit. In addition, the consumer protections required by Regulation E (12 CFR 1005) and MasterCard® Zero Liability (exceptions may apply) cover you against unauthorized use of your card. When promptly reported, these protections will apply to your debit card account.
